3 way sanitary butterfly valves
Stainless steel 3-way sanitary butterfly valves are engineered and developed for use in applications that necessitate a sterile, clean environment. Common product features typically incorporated into the sanitary valve design include uncomplicated cleaning characteristics in which the valves
have minimal or no crevice sections. There are numerous specifications involved with 3-way sanitary butterfly valve design, including operating temperatures, the diameter of the valve along with the media variety, including gases, liquids, liquids with suspended solids and gases being used in the tubing system. The commonly used end types of stainless sanitary valves are welded and clamp.
3-way sanitary butterfly valves help provide unrestricted flow through. These sanitary valves can be serviced without completely removing it from the line, a significant benefit. The stainless-steel models provide higher corrosion resistance, protecting against industrial solvents and chemicals.
Plug valves have the longest history of service as a sanitary valve option and they're still commonly used. Today's 3-way sanitary butterfly valves, however, offer greater durability and ease of use for a wide range of high pressure applications. Actuated, stainless steel butterfly valves are primarily used in the chemical, dairy, beverage or pharmaceutical industries in which an application is required for an air to open, spring to close sanitary pneumatic valve usage.
3-way sanitary butterfly valves are available in sizes 1/2" up to 6" fully automated. 316 stainless steel butterfly valves are paired with 316L polished discs, equipped with electric or pneumatic actuation. Other available seat options include FDA approved EPDM, Viton and silicon.
