Check These Things over before Buying Your Own Valves

Presumed that you are in need of a valve, do you know about how to determine the exact valve you are going to order? There are several things you have to consider and check over to help you make the decision.

First, make sure the application, the working condition and operation of the valve are normal. It is obvious that you never use a colander to scoop up water, and in the same way, a check valve can never be used to control the flow - because valve must be put in the right place to exert its best function.

Second, notice the features of the medium applied in: working pressure, working temperature, corrosion level, viscosity level, if it contains solid particles or not, toxic or not, flammable and explosive or not and so on.

Third, figure out your valve's flow characteristics: flow resistance, discharging capacity, flow amount, sealing level, etc.

Forth, make sure the size you choose meets your expectation: nominal diameter, connection way, size, weight and so on.

Last but not least, be clear about your requests for quality, service life, explosion-proof performance of the electric devices and many others.

And if the valve you choose is used as a controlling device, you should pay extra attention to these features: operating way, max and minimum valve port, the pressure drop for normal flow and closure, the max and minimum inlet pressure of the valve.

Except for all of the basic steps mentioned above, you should also understand the inner structure of all kinds of valves as much as possible so that the correct choice can be made for sure.
