Types and Installation Precautions of Check Valves

The check valve refers to the valve whose valve disc automatically opens and closes depending on the flow of the medium. The check valve belongs to an automatic valve whose main function is to prevent the medium from flowing backward. Check valves can be divided into swing check valves and lift check valves.

The check valve can be applied to pipelines with various media according to different materials. The check valve has working characteristics of great load change and small opening and closing frequency. Once it is put into the closed or open state, the applicable period is very long and the moving parts can't be moved.

Installation precautions of check valves:
1. Lift vertical disc check valves should be installed on vertical pipes.
2. Lift horizontal disc check valves should be installed on horizontal pipes.
3. During installation, the direction of medium flow should be consistent with the arrow direction marked on the valve body.
4. The check valve should not bear the weight of the pipeline. The large check valve should be independently supported so as not to be affected by the pressure generated by the pipeline system.
The above is a brief description of the types of check valves and some precautions for the installation of check valves. Please pay more attention when using check valves in industrial production.
