A soft-seated gate valve is an industrial valve. The opening and closing part of the soft-seated gate valve is a wedge. The direction of movement of the wedge is perpendicular to that of the fluid. The gate valve can only be fully opened and fully closed, and cannot be adjusted or throttled. The gate has two sealing surfaces. The two sealing surfaces of the most used pattern gate valve form a wedge shape. The wedge angle varies with the valve parameters. The nominal diameter is DN50 to DN1200, and the operating temperature is less than and equal to 200℃.


 
Advantages of soft seated gate valves
1. The medium channel inside the valve body is straight through; the medium flows in a straight line, and the flow resistance is small.
2. Whether it is opened or closed, the direction of movement of the wedge is perpendicular to that of medium flow, which saves effort when it is opening and closing.
3. The height is great. The opening and closing time are long; the structural length is small, and the water hammer is not easy to occur.
4. The two sides of the gate valve channel are symmetrical, and the medium can flow in any direction on both sides, which is easy to install.
5. Soft-seated gate valves have simple shapes, short structure length, good manufacturing process, wide application ranges, compact structure, smooth channel, small flow resistance coefficient, long service life, reliable sealing, flexible operation and convenience.
