What Parts of Soft-seated Gate Valves Are Often Damaged?

Soft-seated gate valves are frequently used industrial valves, and damage to parts often happens during use. Next, Dervos will explain to you what the most commonly damaged parts are.

Soft-seated Gate Valve Parts That Are Easily Damaged:
1. Valve bodies: frequently check the corrosion and wear of the inner wall of the valve body, especially the Soft-seated gate valve used in harsh working conditions such as corrosive media, high-pressure difference, cavitation, etc., and ensure its pressure resistance, corrosion resistance and wear resistance.
2. Valve cores: because the valve core is used to cut off the fluid and is the cut-off element of the valve. Therefore, it is subject to the most serious erosion, corrosion and particle collision by the medium, and it is more likely to be damaged under high-pressure difference and cavitation. Therefore, it is necessary to check whether all parts are damaged, worn, corroded, and whether they need to be repaired or replaced.
3. Valve seats: the joint surface of the valve seat is the key to ensuring that the valve is closed, and it is also seriously corroded and worn. Moreover, the inner surface of the thread of the fixed valve seat is often corroded and loosened due to the penetration of the medium, so this part should be specially inspected.
4. Valve stems: Check whether the connection between the valve stem, the valve core and the push rod are loose, and whether there is excessive deformation, crack and corrosion.
5. Packing: Check whether the polytetrafluoroethylene or other packing is aging, deteriorated, lacks oil, and whether the packing is compacted.
6. Gaskets and O-rings: These vulnerable parts cannot be damaged or aged.
